When I first opened the packaging of these forks I was concerned about some sharp bits on the rim of the spoon you put in your mouth. As soon as I washed them and scratched them a bit, that roughness went away. The length is quite long, longer than we're used to but nice and they're semi-thin (compared to the old cutlery we're replacing) but still pretty tactile in the hand. These forks soon became our favorites in our cutlery drawer.
