Burnt betta
Bought two. None of them seemed to work, then one malfunctioned and killed my daughter's fish! 3.5 gallon tank (maybe that's the problem), good water stats and healthy fish when I went to work in the morning. That evening he was standing in front of a heater that looked burned out. I checked for ammonia and it's not there. I removed both heaters as I don't want to take any more risks.
