I wasted some very frustrating days trying to get this to work as it should. I installed Raid1 on 2 SSDs (Samsung 850 EVO 500GB). Tested on Windows and Linux by writing large sequential files. After writing 5.5 GB on Linux and 10 GB on Windows, the write speed dropped to <20 MB/s indefinitely, making it completely unusable. Windows Write Caching was not an issue as it could not be enabled for the RAID device. This should have been fixed by enabling Direct I/O, but there didn't seem to be a way to do that for this particular controller. Don't waste your time with this crap.
