Due to conflicting reviews I immediately hooked them up to some power cords to test before fitting. Both ordered look good. They pass the manual and the test every forty seconds with no problems. I bought these from a small 10ft x 10ft eBay shed that I built for my eBay business that I will be starting soon. While the code doesn't mandate it for indoor outlets, I just like the idea of the added protection. One protects all inside exits and the other is the outside exit on the side of the barn. I suspect those having problems connected them incorrectly. Unlike a regular wall outlet, it doesn't matter where the incoming and outgoing power cords are connected. If you connect it incorrectly, it will either not work or keep turning off.
