Nice little widget! ***UPDATE BUG!

Original review Okay, I have to anticipate something. First, I've worked in the electronics industry my entire adult life. Next, I'm picky about the sound. And finally, I built this unit into a friend's system that has some really nice components while others are a bit versatile. Here is the system; A pair of 6.5" Revel bookshelf speakers (cool!), a vintage 12" MTX subwoofer (from the '90s), an Echo Dot, a 55" TV, Roku, and a Bluetooth source (usually my mobile phone). So we have compressed audio from every source, not exactly the best standard but a pretty common thing in today's world. The sound of this device is sufficient, in combination with a 12-inch subwoofer, it fills the room with sound and impresses. The sound quality is better than I expected (maybe Revel speakers will help here?). I'm not a fan of Class D but this unit was bought with one thing in mind, the size and it's small! So it gets 4 out of 5 because it is exactly what I need. Well, in terms of usability, everything is fine. The remote control isn't very intuitive and the display is pretty small and not visible from across the room (at least I can't). Wouldn't it be nice to have a remote feature that lets you select the source directly instead of using a switch? If you're using this on a table, no problem. The device looks reliable, sounds good enough, powerful enough, compact. In the system, it sits on the side just below the edge of the television. There are no large components to hide here. The cost is close to the cost of some AV receivers, but again I was concerned about the size. Hope this review helps! *** UPDATE *** Bluetooth and optical input error! The analog parts still work, but who cares? The cool thing was the optical signal from the TV and my phone line. Now it's an overpriced amp that doesn't have the features I wanted. I requested a refund and it turns out I was outside the "window" and this is an 80% refund? GRRRRR! As of this writing, I am working with Revain Customer Service. There are so many more options than this device for a little more money. I just didn't want to take full advantage of the AVR, but that seems like what I need to do. To put this in perspective, I can buy a refurbished Sony AVR for $179 that adds surround sound, HDMI switching, AM/FM, etc. So lesson learned. Revain will return an extra 20% and I'm happy with that, but not with this product. I don't think he's ready for prime time. Order Sony today! It was nice while it lasted, would spend "real estate" on a big ol' AVR instead. Hope this review helps.
