I still have a pair of Plaka flat sandals. They fit great but lack support so I thought they were great for running. The straps on them turned out to be significantly tighter than on my other pair, almost to the point where I was willing to return them as they cut off blood flow. I ended up wearing my thickest socks with these sandals around the house for several hours, propping things up there to stretch the straps overnight. It worked well enough for me to save her. The straps have not caused me blisters on any pair and they provide much better walking support.
