We recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We moved just before our 48th and guess what didn't work - measuring cups bought as a wedding gift from a lovely lady who knew the perfect gift didn't have to cost a fortune. She gave us stainless steel measuring cups, and indeed, if the movers hadn't overlooked the box somewhere, they would still be measuring. But even at 48 years old, they were making cookies, bread, tons of playdough, and anything else that could be measured and scrubbed. They worked with and without children. I believe and hope that they will last at least 48 more years. (And they make a lovely wedding gift.)
