i have fine hair that is difficult to style without the right hairspray. John Frieda Luxurious Volume has been my favorite book for many years. It retained style without being sticky and combed through easily. Unfortunately that is no more. The first thing I noticed is that they changed the shape of the spray applicator, which isn't a big deal, but you'll find that it clogs easier and no amount of hot water or alcohol gives a fine spray. I just stopped spraying on one glass. I ended up throwing it away. it was half full! If you can take it out of the jar it coats your hair like shellac and becomes uncombable without BIG pain! If they don't go back to the old formula, don't waste your money.
