Review on Mighty Paw Communication Super Light Activators by Ashley Baldwin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use and fantastic potty time

We originally bought this for our (now 3.5 year old) Golden because he didn't bark to come out like a puppy for our side and back doors. It took him about 2 weeks (he was 12 weeks old at the time) to learn how to use the bell to tell us he needed to go potty. Lol, he quickly found that he could use it whenever he wanted besides potty training (playing/swimming/petting everyone in the neighborhood/digging/being curious because he saw someone through the window), wanting to get in, being fed wanted, dinner was late / we didn't feed him fast enough, treats, attention or instead of mom, mom, mom, mom, mom. He can make the bell make noises it was never programmed to make. Years later (although I regularly threaten to strip her dingdong doorbell privileges) it still works and we buy a replacement tailgate as we lost the activator with a snow shovel over the winter. We also have a second golden puppy who adopted him quickly from a 3.5 year old. The only recommendation I have (besides buying it) is that you might not want to stick it directly to the inside wall/paneling of the house (because this tape is strong! If we ever sell, the seller will stick with the originals, and we'll have to buy new ones) and make sure it's high enough on the outside so they don't accidentally lean on it while waxing. (Picture of our two mad dogs and a bell on the side behind them - please ignore their door reconstruction and temporary repair until replaced)

Pros
  • No cords required: No cords or batteries required - the bell easily attaches to a door or wall with 3M tape, no tools required!
Cons
  • poorly thought out
