I bought a 10" Craftsman saw as my first band saw and used the all-purpose blade that came with it for a while. While I had no complaints about this blade, I had no experience with other blades. I've heard that the blades that come with it are often inferior, so I bought the Timber Wolf based on the published reviews. It stretches very well and at moderate tension cuts like a dream even when sawing large chunks (3+ inches) of oak and ash. It leaves a reasonably smooth cut surface, and I haven't experienced any of the mysterious "blade drift" that woodworkers whisper about. I like my Timber Wolf.
