Not for heavy/thick sketch/drawing paper

This carbon paper just works "well". Even with very faint lines, it doesn't get completely erased, while my pencil mark, which is darker, gets completely erased. If you are using lightweight paper such as B. standard 20# printer paper, you still have to press fairly hard to get a light line. Drawing on 50# or heavier paper will not work. My sketchbook uses 90# paper, and to transfer a sketch from my notebook to watercolor paper you have to press so hard that the sketchpaper dents and the line on my watercolor paper (smooth HP) is so dull it's almost unusable . Not sure if I can use this carbon paper with any of my sketchbooks or drawing paper as most of them are number 50 or heavier. I would not recommend this transfer paper for original sketches that you want to keep/keep safe as you will damage and likely rip/tear your sketch paper if you transfer your sketch too many times. If you are using thick/heavyweight sketch paper, you will likely need to transfer your design to tracing paper or very thin printer paper and then use that copy as the "original" that you will use this transfer paper with.

Pros
  • Erasable Gray Transfer Ink Doesn't smudge: wrong? Don't worry, your lines will turn gray and you can easily erase them if needed. Remember our carbon paper is highly pigmented so don't press too hard or the lines will be harder to erase.
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
