As almost all quality shower heads have a flow restriction of 1.5 gpm or less, sometimes a higher flow is required. Removing the flow restrictor with o-ring from the shower head provides more flow than is required for everyday use. I bought some custom flow restrictors but they didn't fit my Delta shower head. Installing this valve was my next option. It has a nice brushed nickel finish that goes perfectly with my Delta product. Now when cleaning the tiles in the shower I can open the valve and increase the speed to 4+ GPM and then reduce it to 1.75-2.0 GPM for a regular shower. Only thing I would say is be careful not to over tighten the connection to the shower pipe. This can cause the gasket to catch in the block and not seal. Hand tighten, turn on shower, restrict flow, then tighten lightly with a wrench until no more drips.
