I am satisfied or rather satisfied with these pedals. First, they're pretty much designed for clip-on use only, and in my opinion they're the only pedals with such an efficient tongue for kicking your foot back into the pedal. Good, good they're well made and like the man who destroyed pedals by spilling. it depends on the degree of hardness. I think the fins on the back are the feature that defines them. It's a slightly less wide pedal, and that's more evident with the more rounded profile of the pedals. Another person reviewing them complained about the size and especially the internal lugs of these pedals and I found them overly critical. I'm still unsure about these cleats and it all depends on foot size, shoe and profile. You may be willing to trim or shorten them. I have VERY large feet and use pedal extenders and have had to find the largest toe clips to have the ones that work and I'm used to the challenge of fitting my bike to my height. FYI, for those who don't suffer from large size or weight, they can make bikes with a larger frame, but all other components of the bike are not changed to accommodate them.
