Works Exactly As Expected

After checking several panels and realizing I needed a weatherproof panel I decided to purchase a SOLPERK 20W 20W 12V Solar Panel Kit with trickle charge solar battery. I've read that other SOLPERK reviews had various concerns about battery overcharging as well as some hardware issues, but as this review had no reviews at the time I thought I'd take the opportunity to use this panel to charge a 12V battery. Battery I use to light my freestanding shed. Installation was easy and apart from finding a way to run a wire from my barn roof to the radiator, the installation wasn't difficult. (I made a bracket to prevent damage to the roof and would recommend this approach to avoid leaks on the tile roof.) After installation I didn't see a green light (indicating a full charge) on the battery indicator, but there it was I had After not charging the battery for a long time, I decided to give it time. I monitored the output of the solar array (about 14v depending on sun exposure) and found that my battery was about 12 volts with no load. A day later the voltage on the battery jumped to about 12.4V but the battery charge indicator was still burning red. On day 3, the battery indicator turned green and the battery was fully charged. When testing a week later, I drained the battery somewhat by leaving some lights on (12v LEDs) for about 1 hour. The battery charge indicator was red for a while and then turned green again. The battery was fully charged. At the moment the panel has been connected to the battery for about 2 weeks and everything looks fine. If I see the battery charging or decreasing in capacity I will update my review but until then everything is working fine.
