Handy when you need to connect multiple things and the wires don't stick out and get in the way of what needs to be placed in front. The overvoltage protection function is also a plus. According to the reviews, I saw that someone had an issue controlling the top outlet from the switch. No problem. Just remove the jar and switch the hot wire up. I've done this and it works fine. I love it and I recommend it.
