They are actually 43 inches long and quite strong
They work great. I got them to hold 42 inch rolls of paper and they did a good job. 21 feet of paper was fed into the tube, and another 5-10 feet would probably fit. The valves are a bit finicky when trying to assemble the pipe and I secured them with tape. They stayed well together.
