Waterproof soft vinyl. Light color, very well made. The hood is big enough to put on a winter hat if needed. It has a thin nylon lining, but it's not designed for warmth. Big enough to wear a sweater underneath and still have room. Very deep pockets with zippers. Very, very happy for the price.
