Just do it. in Home Decor

I'm so glad I finally made this purchase. Except for the frame, my front door is made entirely of glass. Very inconvenient for privacy and direct sunlight, which can also fade paintings and artwork. The blinds and curtains didn't work because my dogs and cats accidentally ripped them to pieces in their excitement to look outside (wooden blinds, vertical blinds, curtains, plastic blinds and even paper blinds). These window films are perfect for creating privacy while still letting in filtered sunlight. I've included some photos of the end result that you may find helpful. Installation: Very easy. Follow the instructions, but by all means don't think this is a complex project, it isn't. A few helpful tips: I unpacked a couple of heavy books and put them on top of mine until the next day so it wouldn't roll away on its own when peeled off. Has helped a lot. I cleaned the glass thoroughly and removed any traces of glue or dog sneeze lol. Be sure to spray plenty of soapy water on the glass as this will increase mobility so you can install it where you need it. I used a dry dish sponge as a squeegee and it worked great. Starting above, I simply smoothed out the film, trying to get rid of any bubbles. I was lucky that I didn't have to do a lot of measurements or complicated cuts because I only had to use two sheets on top of each other. Patterns are easy to align because it is a repeating pattern. A piece of cake. You can't even tell it's not a single sheet as the stitching matches so well. Only vague shadows can be seen outside at night. Additional curtains/blinds are not required as they provide complete privacy. - Clean the glass thoroughly - Use lots of soapy water - Remove any air bubbles - Enjoy *the first photo was taken outside at night looking towards my door to give you an idea of the look and privacy the film offers*
