Love is an amazing power. The heating options are perfect! Dries hair very quickly with less frizz than my old Conair model. *A note on the Cold Shot button. You click to activate and then again to deactivate. Great feature, but I think some of the reviewers who complained about the dryer not getting warm enough may not have been aware that the cold shot button was "activated". Previous dryers required you to physically hold the cool button down with your thumb. Mine came out of the box with a cold shot and I was worried but the heat came on immediately as soon as I pressed the cold shot button again. As for the volume. I don't think it's much quieter, but the noise isn't as "why" as other dryers. Not as annoying as some might think. I loved this dryer so much I bought it for my daughter and she loves hers too!
