I was looking for a good lighted humidifier, found this and decided to try it because there was a coupon for it with my order. One of my favorite features is the fact that there is a humidity sensor that automatically adjusts based on the humidity level you set. The block itself is divided into 4 pieces that fit together making assembly and disassembly very easy. Filling with water is also very easy, you just remove the lid and pour in. This is much easier than the gravity fed humidifiers of the past. As for the sound, you hardly hear it. If the vapor didn't come out, you wouldn't even know it was on, which surprised me when I saw there was a pump. I need to find a quiet pump like this for my fish tank! I had a problem with that, but it turned out to be human error on my part. This is the first pump humidifier I've used. So when I set everything up and turned it on for the first time, nothing worked. I took the unit apart to see what my problem was and noticed the pump just sat there doing nothing, as soon as I connected it to the hose and plugged it back in it worked in seconds! The instructions don't say anything about it, so if you're having trouble pumping, that could be your problem too. Just a note. Another thing I would like to mention is that the remote control requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included. So if you use a remote, I hope you have it handy. However, the touchscreen on the machine works very simply, so once the settings are right you hardly ever need a remote control anyway. Overall this is exactly what I was looking for and I am 100% happy with my purchase!
