Received the battery and all components a few weeks prior. Not only did I want to route the right cable, but also the switches in between. Oh wonder the day I received the battery I went to start wiring and what I found. At least one terminal is completely unsaleable. The screw is broken, misaligned or something. Since everything is locked in a case I can't even try to fix it without opening the case. It looks like something was done before my possession as even the case was lost. The terminal is screwed up, probably for the same reason. In fact, this whole block is useless. Pay attention to the picture of the separation of the part of the block body, on the other hand it is not. I was looking to buy a $150+ unit but saw good reviews about it and decided to give it a try for my first "mobile" solar build. Huge mistake. I think you get what you pay for. I will request a full refund and choose a completely different brand. One that is not included in the available terminals. So if something goes wrong, at least I have options. While I received the replacement very quickly, there seemed to be something wrong with the initial installation. The battery capacity gauge was slowly but surely falling. Maybe 1% every hour or two. This is no load and lots of PV. I figured it might just be the accuracy/method used to measure, so I didn't think much about it. Within two weeks I tested the system about 4 times. All with the same results. ie: Everything looked fine, but that's a weird drop in element capacity. After about two weeks I set up the system again to charge my gel battery but the device would not turn on after connecting to the battery. I checked everything: from wiring to disconnects to installing a load tester on the battery. zero problems. The charger charged the battery in less than an hour. The block still won't turn on. Connected to another battery. Still no power. The device literally died after standing for several days without doing anything at all. I think two chances was more than enough. Time for a different brand and a different line of business. If it worked it would be very cool. I hate starting over. I'm sending it back for a full refund.
