Great monitor for its price range. The USB Type-C connection is very reliable and allows you to connect a USB-C laptop with just 1 cable, and if you are using it for a non-USB-C device you can connect via HDMI or Make DP and also make a USB connection. Cable B to enable the USB Type-A hub on the monitor. A USB hub is great if you have multiple devices that you switch between work and personal laptops and want to instantly connect to other USB devices (e.g. a docking station). I leave my wireless USB mouse and keyboard adapters attached to the monitor and just switch laptops when the need arises. I use it with my HP Elite X2 and when I connect it with a USB-C cable I get the following: 1) Charges the laptop and keeps it 100% during use. 2) Transmits HD video and audio to the monitor without the need to use HDMI or DP cables. 3) Enables the USB hub in the monitor (3 additional USB Type A ports for computers) without the need for a USB cable Type B needs to be connected. The only disappointment is the sound. The built-in speakers are so weak that you can hardly hear anything. So just pretend they don't exist and get external speakers or a soundbar.
