Review on Garmin GPSMAP Waterproof Marine Chartplotter by Jason Chaplain

Recently bought a Garmin 78sc - it worked for 1 week then an error message appeared (cannot unlock maps) and the unit continued to function unusable - called Garmin after reading all the negative information about this device - they said Garmin is aware of the problem and that a solution exists - however on the internet it looks like this error message has been complained about for 5 months and still not fixed - they have refused to buy the device taking it back and said that replacing it would give me another faulty module - they said to wait for a fix and they would contact me - doesn't look like they take it too seriously - there's nothing like to sitting with a brand new device that won't work indefinitely with the proviso that they get back to me w If this is the case Fix the shame on you Garmin - you used to be a trusted company - one benefit of Amazon was I sent it back to Amazon for a refund. be careful!
