I've been waiting a while to write this review and if you have any doubts about buying this you shouldn't be. I took a chance and am glad I made this purchase. This camera is listed as 1080p HD and is recommended as a podcast camera. The built-in mic comes in handy for home recording, but it also comes with another mic that you attach to the top and picks up lots of distant sounds. The instructions are good enough to get you started and understand the basic functions, and the menus seem simple enough to figure it out yourself. The screen is sharp and clear to capture any playback and the menu is easy to navigate since it's a touchscreen. It has many additional features that I didn't expect from a camera in this price range. I also tried slow motion indoors - everything works great! And the quality of the slow motion video is very good. The camera comes with two batteries, so you can always charge a spare battery. And since you charge the battery via the USB cable connected to the camera, you don't have to worry about a special charging adapter. The charging times feel short and the battery life is sufficient for long shoots - our recordings were in the 30-minute range with very little battery consumption. I highly recommend it for everyday use, to take with you, or even for your kids to become aspiring movie producers.
