This is such a GREAT idea. The material "handles" is good, strong steel, not flimsy, comfortable metal, it is comfortable to hold in hand when you take it out of the box; just a great idea and nice simple and functional design. The included good replacement sponges were mostly a bonus in my opinion. That's all I thought it would be. except for one glaring problem. This would be a five star item. except that it's really, really VERY short. Too short to be functional at all. What a pity! The design is great but the handle is too short and too short. If they made the handle longer I would buy it again, but that short handle means it can't do what I bought it to do. The handle should be almost twice as long as it should reach the bottom of any standard wide (or very wide) neck bottle. Maybe she could reach the bottom of one of the VERY short/short baby bottles? Like a 3-5 oz bottle. or a snack-sized container for a handful of cereal. as long as the mouth is wide enough. But that won't work with a regular sized baby bottle, let alone a 500ml wide-mouth refillable glass bottle. That's exactly why I bought it. It doesn't go to the bottom of a bottle I own. And that's the real problem. The included sponges are also technically too wide to get around even a wide-mouth bottle, but since you can remove the sponges there's a workaround. The metal part of this item CAN hardly fit in a wide mouth bottle if you carefully remove the sponge and use a cloth. But it still won't work as a "bottle brush" because it's just too short. Even if you stick your fingers in the bottle and barely grasp the handle to try to get it within reach, it won't be able to clear the bottom. long enough to reach the bottom of a regular wide mouth bottle, the design and material would make it a five star product. But that is impossible. It's just too short. Perhaps the manufacturer could change the name to "Sponge Cleaning Brush" instead of "Bottle Sponge Dish Brush" and that would be more accurate. This works for ordinary half-pint glasses, for example. Or, better yet, extend the handle to do the job it's designed for. Like I said it would be great and five stars if it was the right length to work with real bottles.
