The LED on the first went out within the first 5 minutes. I ordered a replacement that has worked for several months with no LED issues. I love love love this thing. I use it in my workshop to cut nylon thread and tack nylon webbing before sewing. The stand is superb, the interchangeable nozzles are superb, the iron heats up very quickly. I set the temperature to 500 degrees and the iron is there in less than 10 seconds. I love that I can set the exact temperature! I've had fun welding custom nylon bag balloons and playing with heat sealable materials that usually just burn out without precise temperature control. All of this to say that I can't help but suspect that this isn't one of those tools that will last forever. The plastic case, buttons and LED look very cheap.
