This does not apply to stations more than 70 miles away. He can find her with an extra booster, but the dropout is constant. I'm trying to connect stations that are less than 60 miles apart, there are only a few trees around me and my antenna height is just over 25 feet. There's woods between me and the stations, but the big ol' antenna could pick up the station if it was pointed right. I wanted to replace this large block as it was damaged by the hurricane with a smaller 'new' version but it's not very helpful to access from this rural location. I should have gone for the new larger "Old" style but they are a little underpowered for the new UHF frequencies. It doesn't help that the one station I want is a VHF and this is a UHF antenna. (VHF may work if within 50 miles.)
