I bought these to use in my cake/decoration shop. The plastic of the tools is very light and thin. You can immediately see where the savings have gone. But okay, it's not a deal breaker. However, smooth is not flat. General. This makes it completely unusable. The modeling tools themselves seemed delicate and versatile until I realized that the plastic seam they were molded together in was very pronounced and placed on the flat surface I used against the lipstick. Not on the sides where they would stand to the side. This left "scratches" on anything they touched. To be fair, tools like Petal Detail would be fine, but the Vein Tool, Bone Tool, and Sphere Tool are useless. Anything smooth spoils the seams. The rolling pin is "on". It also has manufacturing scratches (I guess), but they're minor, so if you don't mind a little graininess, this will work. However, I will not concern myself with that. The only thing I don't have a problem with is the seam/stitch cutter. This tool is good, no problem. If you're looking for a set to bake a cake for fun and every now and again, this set (except the slicker one is junk) will do the trick and is affordable. If you are looking for quality tools at a good price this is not the set you need.
