UPDATE! Don't buy this! It started shocking my dog randomly. I was shocked to pick up the collar less than 15 feet from the base unit. Revain, please stop selling this product! This product will not work if you have a steep slope. The collar unit is easy to charge, but it is difficult to install the waterproof connector. When setting the limits I struggled to hear the beep, louder would be helpful. The instructions say to keep it at your dog's level, I have a schnauzer and would not walk up and down a slope with my arm bent 8 inches off the ground. For the first time alone with the collar on my Aussie I managed to drop it. Impossible to find, would like neon so it can be seen in a leafy area. A remote control for beeping would be nice, maybe I'll find it. Since I didn't have all the parts I couldn't return it and I didn't want to spend another $150 on another collar. Now my two dog system is a one dog system as it is too difficult to switch programming. My older Schnauzer was much better trained and lonelier than a year old Australian. The Aussie could get upset about something (another dog) outside the boundary and she would pause for a moment if she was shocked and then exit the boundary. We have a steep slope on one side of our property and this system doesn't seem to work there, of course the Australian figured it out straight away. We had to lower the border so she couldn't get in there. One of the reasons I chose this system was that it would cover 3/4 acres and due to the need to accommodate the steep drop off we wouldn't be able to get that much space. On the plus side, the rim is easy to trim with 16 different radius options, transitioning from short to long prongs on the collar block is easy, and dogs don't feel uncomfortable wearing it.
