Review on Addressable Lighting Splitter Motherboard Interface by Michael Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple, serious

I hooked this up to a couple of Asus Aura Sync ARGB components (four daisy chain lights and three Cooler Master ARGB fans) and everything worked without any issues. Make sure your setup has a free SATA power connector ready to power whatever is connected to it. Simply connect the included motherboard cables (2-pin fan header and 3-pin ARGB header) to the appropriate headers and you're good to go. In the BIOS (in my case Asus) I had to replace the attached fan. Header to PWM to ensure proper control. Without this, the mobo will assume it's a DC fan connection and run at 100% fan speed all the time. With PWM, the fan curve settings in the BIOS are taken into account.

Pros
  • ARGB of this 5V 3 pin hub. This kind of fan can drive a single lamp bead and realize the effects of a flowing water lamp, splice and display text patterns through programming. Only compatible with 3-pin connectors or 5V addressing RGB controllers, do not connect to 12V RGB components, otherwise it may burn out.
Cons
  • Some issues
