The concept is much better than the execution

I agree with three main criticisms of this product: 1) Despite the manufacturer's claim, the port *blocks* use of the adjacent USB-C port, if not all cables, at least on some MacBooks. (This, of course, applies to my 2016 dual-port 13-inch model.) 2) The magnet is noticeably weaker than the original MagSafe, causing the slightest tug on the cable at an angle to loosen it, or at least break the electrical connection. "Better safe than sorry" is one thing, but if the magnet were a little stronger the connection would be a lot less fragile, but it would still come loose long before a tug on the cable could pull the laptop with it. .3) It just doesn't last long: after just a month of careful use, the connection is becoming more and more brittle by the day, causing the laptop's charging indicator to appear and disappear at the slightest touch. I tried a brand new braided USB-C cable with and without a connector to see if the issue was with the connector. With a number of similar products on the market, I'm hoping (and will try to confirm) that at least one that implements the concept is slightly better than this one.
