For me, I can only use it with the rear USB-C port between the headphone jack and the front USB port on the right side because of mine hard shell. The shell extends too far towards the connectors for the plug to be the right width for the connection. I agree with three main criticisms of this product: 1) Despite the manufacturer's claim, the port *blocks* use of the adjacent USB-C port, if not all cables, at least on some MacBooks.
