The router itself is fine. The Netgear app that runs it is absolutely pathetic. Changing every small setting takes a few minutes while the router does it. some. At this point, the application imposes a crap on you with a subscription. I bet the delay is artificial so they can show you ads. I just couldn't get over the fact that it takes minutes to change every little setting, with ads thrown in my face at every opportunity. There's no downloadable website to manage the router, so you have to use the app and can't do anything from your computer. I paid a lot of money for this router and after setting it up I still get "monetized". high. I'm sure an MBA at Netgear has a chart showing that this was a great idea and that it optimized human consumption unit yield curves, but it's a terrible experience. I'm returning the thing and sticking with my TpLink. It has its issues, but at least managing your router isn't an annoying advert.
