I have a metal (stainless?) copy holder that keeps the typewritten documents I need to copy at eye level. This document holder has a small, free-moving magnet that attaches and stabilizes documents to the flat metal document holder. The magnet was strong enough to hang documents on a metal copy holder. Everything was going great until I lost the magnet that keeps the documents in place, needed a replacement and got this horseshoe magnet that does its job perfectly. It easily holds 7 sheets of 8.5 x 11 inch paper. When I add another sheet of paper, the magnet isn't strong enough to keep the papers levitating and the papers start moving down under gravity. For my purposes, however, a magnet is sufficient.
