Are you trying to teach a husky bull with a heavy head to ring a bell after a year? It can be done. I was skeptical. i will be honest When I bought this item I thought he already knew how to draw attention to go out. Bark loudly for someone to take you out. I could add a well behaved dog, but I bought it anyway in hopes that one day the high-pitched barking my husky makes won't cause a headache anymore. And what was my surprise when I came home one day and heard a bell ringing behind the house. Low and so I found him running into the room, rushing back to the back door and ringing the bell again. This product works. They were also taught for the fact that their heads are strong. It took him 3 months to use this item to its full potential, but after that he uses it every time. Who said old dogs can't be taught new tricks? Remember he is almost 2 years old but he already knew the way he was learning was quite effective. So I'm glad he's still learning new tricks and using this useful item in a positive state and no longer barking loudly. I would buy again if needed and recommend.
