I have used several bicycle taillights. The Cygolite Hotshot SL-50 is the best rear light I have ever owned. The SL-100 is brighter but doesn't last as long on each charge. I use a slow flash mode that flashes about every 10-15 seconds. It doesn't irritate the driver much and is brighter than fast flash modes. The light is very bright, affordable, lasts several hours without recharging, easy to assemble and easy to remove and swap out for charging. The first Cygolite Hotshot I bought still holds a charge after over 7 years of use.
