Attempting to update the color of the camouflage hunting pants

Performs well on two pairs of faded NaturalGear pants. The original color was grey, dark brown and light brown. The color brushed a light olive hue over the gray hair that was becoming too garish. The original brown tones are still visible and may have been darkened a bit as planned. Unknown color fastness. An old pair of Mossy Oak camouflage pants have no obvious shades of color, and another pair from the same brand have very few shades. Let them sit outside in the sun for about four hours, stirring them every half hour or so. This is done to show the original darker colors and darken the lighter colors. I plan to try the same color on a HD hunting backpack that has seen many miles, years and use except the lighter colors fade and become too light. Plan to use a pack of paint, take out your backpack and run a second round on pants that previously didn't absorb the paint well.

Pros
  • Works with all natural fibers and polyester/cotton blends
Cons
  • Big and chunky
