Thick Mineral Sunscreen

I have a very fair skinned girl who gets sunscreen almost every day due to her sun sensitivity. I've tried so many different brands and types of sunscreen over the years, from creams to powders to sprays, and still haven't found a great option for everyday use that doesn't leave my skin overly oily or white tinged leaves her skin . in the course of the day. I found Aveeno sunscreen with SPF 50 and was excited to try it as it is an unscented sunscreen. The sunscreen is very thick at first and difficult to massage into the skin, so I quickly realized that with this brand a little is enough. Once you've applied that you've applied too much it absorbs fairly quickly and evenly so just wait a few minutes and then rub it in again and the white streaks will diminish leaving a shiny and slightly greasy appearance and feeling of coverage. . My child didn't mind me putting it on her hands and feet but she often complained when it was on her face and I think it was because of the greasy feeling on her face. Oily or not, the SPF 50 did the trick and we were able to spend time outdoors with no visible sun damage and were easily washed away by the rain at the end of the day. I recommend this for everyday use, but kids with sensitive faces can complain about it on their face, so we ended up applying it to their face with powdered sunscreen to ease the oily feeling and sweating in their eyes.
