Review on 🚐 Hopkins 20146 8-Foot 7-Pin RV Blade Molded Trailer Cable by Tim Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

OLD CABLE - PLEASE READ

Caravan trailers use two different color codes and this cable is an OLD color code. This is a good quality cable and will work with any 7 pin plug but the cable colors will not match the new campers. The easiest way to tell them apart is to look at the red wire. You have four smaller wires and three larger wires. If the red wire is small then it is the old color scheme and it is the left turn signal. If the red wire is thick, it is the new color scheme and the +12 volt auxiliary power supply. This wire has +12 power on a thick black wire, right on brown wire, left on red wire, chaser on. green wire, reversing lights on a yellow wire, brakes on a heavy blue wire, and ground on a heavy white wire. I have an old trailer so it worked, but most of the information on YouTube and the trailer forums is about the new color code so it can be confusing. I lowered the rating because the description doesn't mention the old color code.
