is very nice! This is a good size for small catfish. My Lemon Bristlenose Pleco is now about 5 inches tall. She doesn't go all the way in and half of her tail sticks out and then comes out (though honestly she's not used to caves and likes to hang out under her wooden bridge instead), so I don't know if she likes it. I don't have a male yet. Maybe males prefer caves to attract females LOL! human cave. That being said, there were a few sharp clay bumps/flaws on the inside that needed to be sanded off because they were sharp. The dark brown is just a shadow, not a solid brown throughout the tonal mix. The cave gets much lighter in the water, almost as light as the orange clay pots because it's just a translucent hue. The natural base color of the clay is potter's clay for potting orange plants. I like the texture of the grove on the outside, so it looks more like a natural bark cave shape than an artificial, boring, unnatural cave. I've been looking for a natural cave for a long time and it seems to be the only one. It goes better with the decor but the color needs some work so it's a pure brown. For the production. Is tinted paint non-toxic? Quality control should be better, checking the interior of the caves for any sharp clay bumps and sanding accordingly. Also, I'm not sure what clay dyes can be mixed with potter's clay to make colors, but they should be non-toxic. If you can find out how to make solid or two tone brown ceramic tunnel using non toxic clay paint. This would be better if the tunnel needs sanding and/or chipping or the color is fading. There has to be something in there that turns the clay brown before it's fired. Browns are more natural than orange tones. We also need more sizes for larger plexes. The price would be more reasonable if all these tips were implemented.
