There's nothing "extra " in them. They are worse in every way

Bought in the Christmas sale for $40. I thought I was updating from my wireless skull ink device which bluetooth keeps dropping depending on how I hold my head. I was very disappointed. Their regular retail price is $80. I think, and I was only certain, that they would blow up my $40 Skull Candy Ink headphones, WRONG. Pros: NEVER lost bluetooth connection with my phone at the gym. Cons: 1) Interesting design with a "hook" that fits into the ear comb to hold them in place. - Problem: I can't endure an hour of weight training at the gym without wanting to rip my ears off from the pain and discomfort. This hook applies constant pressure to the inside of the ear. It's gonna hurt in 15 minutes. 2) Bass - (I'm a bass player) Bass is half what you get from an ink candy skull. What I listen to in the gym for reference: Angerfist, Showtek, The Playah, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Bass for cars. 4) Maximum volume - These headphones never get loud enough. They get to the point where they're almost loud enough, but at most they're about 3 clicks down from when the volume is cranked up. This will upset you. Guaranteed.5) Battery Life. They come with half a battery. With this charge, they worked at maximum volume for about 2.5 hours, reproducing heavy bass. Nothing about these headphones lived up to what I expected from reading the reviews and marketing materials on the Amazon product page. The same goes for Best Buy's product page. Strongly disappointed. Looking for a firmware update. There are no firmware updates for this product. We wish you the best of luck in your search for good bass headphones. The Skull Candy Inkd Wireless Headphones have good peak volume and bass, and are cheap if you need something to keep you going. However, you lose the Bluetooth connection. It's annoying, but the sound more than makes up for it.
