I bought a big one. My son is a skinny size 8 and I still pull up 4-5 notches on his pants. (He's very slim) It sits on him like a shirt. (He's wearing his underpants and that's all that's underneath.) PS: We live in a warm climate so we can handle it, but if you live in 4 season weather I would suggest sizing up , so that the thermal underwear also fits in. . It will be disposable. His cousin will use it next year. :) Most of all he likes it, and that's the main thing. I am a very happy mother.
