This is a cable. Yes, I'm writing a review on the cable right now. I can't believe I'm doing this myself. I'm writing this because I'm fed up with micro USB cables. you fail. They all fail. And most of them are way ahead of their time. I can't count the number of cables I've gone through and I've only found one brand that lasts anywhere near as long as it should. And then they took it out of production. I bought this cable because I recently got a charging station and needed shorter cables. When I first received this item I was concerned. The first thing I noticed was that the packaging is a heavy zippered bag. Yes I have received them before and I know the quality of the cables in these bags. When I took it out of my pocket, I was very pleasantly surprised. It was immediately clear that this cable is of much better quality than I expected. The cable itself is a lot thicker than what I usually get. The braided nylon sheath is also of much better quality than most I've seen. It appears to be thicker with a much larger "body" while still being extremely flexible. Most micro USB cables fail for one of two reasons. First, the wiring is shorted where it exits the terminals. This cable has what appears to be very high quality armor on both ends at this point. Honestly, I don't see this cable failing in this area. The second reason for failure is wear on the pins that hold the cable in the device. The pins on this cable appear to be very solid. Only time will tell if it fails sooner in this area or not. I can't count the number of times I've plugged and unplugged this cord to run it through a call in the short time I've had it, and I don't see any signs of them coming loose. They are still as firm as they were when I took them out of the box. Now I have to add my disclaimer: I've only had this cable for about a week so I can't comment on durability, but so far I'm very happy with it. Only time will tell how well it works in the long run. If I run into any issues over time I will come back and update this review as the situation warrants.
