Works when fixed with a coin.

Why should I give a 4 to something I need to fix? Pros: The design is mostly good. There are different lengths and I could get one long enough. durable enough but will punch through before it can actually cut. This is my second attempt at a long handled toenail clipper. One of the Paynefrees is well made, but it's too short and has a straight blade that's almost useless on my toenails. If it was 4 inches longer with a curved blade clipper, it would be gold. Buy one of these if you like nail clippers right now. It has a very nice grip that can be used with one hand for both right-handed and left-handed users. I have an average length of 28" and it fits me perfectly (5ft 6"). The ONLY problem is that the clipper enters the holder before it can make a good cut (not enough clearance for proper cutting pressure). I would also venture that the clipper is only a 6-7 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best. I have strong but not very thick toenails. Clipper by raising it just enough that the width of the clip is narrower (still wide enough) but when I push down the clipper doesn't go all the way down before it cuts. Now it works great. It can even work with a dime, not a quarter. .Now the reason for 4. The handle is big and long enough. I know it will work if I can position the clippers correctly. That alone is worth its weight in gold to me. This allows the clippers to be removed and flipped so they can be made for both left handed and right handed use (Allen key included). t clip pitch. Others are epoxy sealed so you stay with what you have. When it gets boring, you'll have to spend another small fortune on a new one. Yes, buying something that you need to "fix" to get what you want isn't for everyone. But to be able to have EXACTLY what I want with just a tweak or two when I couldn't create it from scratch myself? Worth every penny. One star off because I have to change it.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
