Overall I'm very happy with the U55. The form factor and weight make it easy to carry around, and it runs on 12V, so I'm hoping to be able to power it in the field with a LiFePo battery. The only problem I had was adding a Samsung 870 EVO SSD to the device. It turns out I have an older U55 model (see picture with the old SATA cable). I was able to connect a hard drive to the PC with no problems. The seller, AREEL, responded very quickly when I contacted them for help with the device. They eventually offered to replace my U55 with a newer model that would support the SSD, but I had already installed the HDD with Ubuntu installed and set it up as a second boot device, so I decided to just keep the device that came with it.
