I've had these curtains up for a few months now, and wow do they darken the room! There's no way for me to tell what the weather is like in the morning without getting up and pulling back the curtains, haha. They help cool my room down a bit (it faces east so summer afternoons were warm) but not completely, but I'm still happy with my purchase. I bought it in teal - it's vibrant and deep without being harsh on the eyes, and I love how subtle the wispy pattern is. My heater is directly underneath my window too so I really appreciated that there was a "medium" length option, my previous curtains were way too long and completely covered the heater which was a big factor in my search for new curtains. At this price point ($24) I'd definitely buy these curtains again!
