Review on Enhance Stability and Comfort with πŸ”§ Monroe Shocks & Struts OESpectrum 5645 Shock Absorber by Alejandro Dabney

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Feels great, sounds almost perfect.

Well, first of all, both shock absorbers were packed in their individual boxes in the shipping carton. One of the individual boxes was opened but did not appear to be damaged and the included mounting nut was in the box as expected. I'm a girl who likes to maintain her own car and I found the installation a breeze. If you can change a tire, you can change the shock absorbers on my car. There were no problems during installation, the test drive went well. My previous rear shocks were done, and by done I mean the right shock was leaking and none of its pistons rebounded when I installed them. The difference was amazing. The car feels good and stable, just like when new. The Autobahn speed test was solid. The nasty jerking in the rear before installation is gone now and it feels nice and smooth again. My car feels safe again. the wheel moves down from its highest point. It's a bit noisy and I've never heard a muffler before. I managed to get an audio recording and it definitely sounds like a shock. I'm not sure but maybe it's because of the shock that was in the opened box? Will monitor if it disappears after hacking. This is great if you want to bring back the OEM feel. Would recommend Monroe and buy again. UPDATE 11/1/21 - Loud shock absorber stays loud and I now consider defective. Will buy Monroe again but definitely not from Revain - don't know what's in their supply chain.

Pros

Cons
