Review on 🍸 Premium Clear Ice Ball Maker Mold - Large 2.4 Inch Whiskey Ice Ball Maker - Crystal Clear Sphere Ice Maker - Ice Mold Maker with Storage Bag - Clear Ice Mold for Sphere Ball Ice Maker by Linda Nelson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It produces crystal clear ice balls / with some work.

I give this unit 4 stars as it requires some prep work and long freezing times to make 2 crystal clear scoops of ice cream. It took me many tries to get the desired results; as the instructions are not very informative. Ice balls have some cloudy areas and are not a full ball/have concave areas. It could be the water I used or the way my freezer works. The crystal clear spheres I receive now are completely filled / have small nipple-like bulges on each end with a thin ridge on the sides of the sphere. (They can be removed to get a completely smooth sphere by gently rubbing those areas again in the stainless steel pan. Personally, after many attempts to achieve this, I'm happy with the more rustic/erotic look they have.) Um To achieve these results, I then use bottled spring water. Bring 34 ounces (about 4-1/4 cups) of water to a full boil, then continue boiling for 1 minute.2. Remove from the heat and wait until it stops bubbling. Then fill the bottom of the block with hot water up to the fill line. (Reserve the remaining water at the top.) 3. Slowly insert/lower the silicone mold into the soil until it stops. Use some of the remaining water to completely fill the 2 rectangular areas at the top of the mold.4. Leave it on the counter for 36 minutes. (This will help fully heat the unit to use the top-down freezing method needed to make clean ice.) 5. Use the remaining water to completely fill the top rectangular areas of the mold. (Usually at the 15 minute wait and just before placing the unit in the freezer.) 6. Freeze for about 27 1/2 to 28 hours.7. Remove from the freezer and gently pull on one side of the mold and then the other to remove the mold/crystal balls.8. Store gallon ice balls in a plastic freezer bag. (Holds more balls and is easier to open and close than the included pouch.) These ice balls will look great in any drink you're serving that calls for ice. They have a long melting time. As they melt, the diluted drink doesn't taste as fast/as strong as when using square ice cubes.
