Will not work with Roku 4k Media Stick

I wanted to use the 6.6 foot version to power a Roku 4k Media Stick which has a mini USB port for the has power supply. The original cable works perfectly, but was too short for me. For some reason this cable is hanging on the rock. Back to the original, no problem. This wire hangs the stone so the remote control doesn't respond. Not worth going back for how cheap it is.
