Several design features make this table great. First, thanks to the scissors, it is a very durable table. Second, the legs are offset so you can sit close together, like at a desk. Next, the mechanism that keeps the table open is very smart and easily adjusts to three heights. Finally, the legs lock securely in the closed position when you want to stow the table away. I bought two small 25" x 17" tables to use in my studio apartment as a small desk or dining area. Two tables together can accommodate me and three grandchildren for lunch. Stored in a closet, they don't bother you.
